Picture Time!

“Woody” Wood was kind enough to assist me at the pad, sliding the SAAB onto the rail (left), and stabilizing things (including the nerves) while I armed the electronics (right.)  Tony Alcocer was also a big help, filming at this point, and later doing tracking.

… 3, 2, 1, Launch!

Going…

Still Going…

Still Going…

Still Going…

Still Going…

Gone.

And the Chute!

The Rocket Gods were shining on my rocket today.

The Aerocon parachute was in full glory with the Aerocon pilot chute taking a nap on top.

The low altitude charges were not needed, but added drama.

Touch Down!

(is that 6 points?)

The chute repacked it’s self.

And all is well back on the ground 3.96 miles from the launch pad.
